Call for Artists!

Wanted: Environmental Art

When: August 21 to August 28, 2021

Deadline for Submission: July 15, 2021

The Rahway River Watershed Association is seeking submissions from artists and artwork for display and exhibition during Rahway RiverFest, a week-long festival celebrating the Rahway River and taking place from August 21st to August 28th 2021. We are using the arts to bring attention to environmental issues and highlight the beauty of nature.

A Celebration of the Rahway River

Artwork can be inspired by rivers, lakes and other bodies of water, rain, waterfalls, the ocean, nature, local habitat, and native wildlife.

Mythical Creatures

As an alternative, artwork can include mythical water creatures such as the Loch Ness monster, Kraken, mermaids, sea monsters, water sprites and fairies, cryptozoology beasts, and river and ocean deities.

This is an opportunity for artists of all genres to create, display and sell their work. We are currently seeking: sculpture, painting, drawing, photography, prints, and mixed media, sound, performance, music, spoken word, projected, and installation (indoor and out). We welcome artists who wish to lead a community arts project as well.
